Children's Yoga
I am thrilled to bring the many benefits of yoga to the children of our North Island communities!
I gained my 96 hour Children's Yoga Teacher certification in February 2021, through Young Yoga Masters, a Yoga Alliance accredited program. My goal is to empower the younger generation to create a practice and learn tools that they can carry with them throughout their lives; skills I didn't start to learn until my mid 30's.
I currently offer classes for parents and tots all the way to early teens. My classes are a combination of breathing techniques, songs, games, yoga postures and meditations; tailored to the different age groups. To check out my current in-studio offerings head over to our CLASSES page. I am also available for birthday parties, private classes in the studio or on location in schools, daycares, or other events.

"Yoga and mindfulness have been shown to improve both physical and mental health in school-age children (ages 6 to 12). Yoga improves balance, strength, endurance, and aerobic capacity in children. Yoga and mindfulness offer psychological benefits for children as well. A growing body of research has already shown that yoga can improve focus, memory, self-esteem, academic performance, and classroom behavior, and can even reduce anxiety and stress in children."
