Owners Brittany and Carolina are both busy mommas with a passion for essential oils, natural health and wellness, and utilizing practices like yoga, meditation and the power of positive thought!

Our mission is to provide a connected space for the the North Island wellness community and to empower all ages with tools to live a happier, healthier life. In the midst of this global pandemic, we feel this is needed more now than ever as we all navigate these strange and trying times!

Our studio space is located in Port Hardy, BC, on the ancestral lands of the Kwakiutl First Nation. We are so grateful to call this incredible place home and for the opportunity to serve the North Island.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Brittany

Owner, Children's Yoga Teacher, Natural Wellness Advocate
Since having my first daughter in 2012, I have been on a mission to live as healthy as possible. First that meant detoxing my home of harmful chemicals, making more eco friendly choices, and then learning to really nurture and take care of ME, mind, body and spirit! It's been a journey!

I am extremely passionate about empowering others, especially mommas, so when the opportunity to take this on came up, it seemed like it was meant to be! I am a former hairdresser and salon owner and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to own a business in this community again- especially one supporting holistic wellness, which is a huge passion of mine!

I have recently completed my 96 Hour Children's Yoga Teacher Certification with Young Yoga Masters and look forward to bringing the blessings of yoga into little lives!

I hope to use this space to continue to bring amazing things to Port Hardy, and our North Island communities, still through Yoga and Naturopathy, but so much more!

I am a mom, wife, Forester and now, co-owner of Wild Coast Yoga!
I moved to the North island back in 2005 and feel fortunate to live in this piece of paradise.

I am passionate about self care, and trained in Reiki levels 1 & 2. I found yoga 5 years ago and it is part of my daily routine. I have been promoting a healthier lifestyle within our home and I am grateful to be involved with holistic treatment opportunities within our community!

Paige

Yoga Teacher
Paige is very excited to be welcomed as a new member of the amazing Wild Coast Yoga team! Her passion for the healing and expressive arts began well over a decade ago. Movement is most certainly her anchor. It is the place she returns too, time and time again to come back home to herself.

In 2016, she completed her 200hr Embodied Flow Yoga Teacher Training in Bali. This training opened her eyes to the world of movement exploration and somatic work. With an emphasis on slow paced movement, Paige is thrilled to offer yin yoga at the studio this fall.

Paige found yin yoga at a very challenging time in her life. It was one of the only practices that allowed her to slow down on a deeply nourishing level. Paige is looking forward to offering yin yoga as a way to inspire students to develop a more intimate relationship with their mind, body and soul.

Debbie

Yoga Teacher
Debbie has always believed in practicing body movement as a means of managing life’s ups and downs, typically through running, cycling, and swimming. Eleven years ago, Debbie landed in a yoga studio after going through a particularly rough patch. This began her love affair with yoga and breath work, and led to an interest in other healing modalities.

Debbie took formal yoga training through YogaFit Canada (200 HR RYT) in 2016. Since then, she’s taken additional training in Yoga Nidra, yoga for youth at risk, and yoga for incarcerated men.

Although Debbie is a practitioner of many forms of yoga, she primarily teaches vinyasa style yoga and yoga nidra classes. Debbie’s vinyasa yoga classes intertwine her training and experience with a focus on breath aligned body movement; a skill that we can each take off the mat into our daily lives.

She later rounded out her training with Ayurvedic certification, and now offers Ayurvedic health coaching online. It’s been a lifelong love affair with becoming the best version of self, body, mind, and spirit!

Debbie has been on Vancouver Island for a few years, yet was recently called to the north. She has three adult kids, who also practice yoga. Debbie is eager to teach at Wild Coast Yoga and build community here in the north!

I am fortunate to live, love, learn and play on the unceded land of the Kwakwa̱ka̱ʼwakw people.

I am a mama with a deep love and respect for nature, yoga, dancing, all things creative and my healing journey. My yoga practice has carried me through some shiiit.

I am certified in the Hatha style and working towards becoming a yoga therapist. My passion is developing and sharing classes that are accessible for all through a gentle flow or calming restorative class.

Kelly

Yoga Teacher
I started practicing yoga in 2003, as a way to offset the rigors of field work, while working in forestry camps on Northern Vancouver Island.

My practice style ranges from an energetic inspired flow to a more calming restorative style yoga, balancing the yang and yin energy of our lives. I graduated from the South Okanagan Yoga Academy (SOYA) with an RYT-500-hour teacher designation in 2009. Since that time, I have trained with Judith Lasater, Eoin Finn, Marion (Mugs) McConnell and Carla Wainwright in Northern California, Ucluelet and Prince George, BC.

Yoga to me is a chance to come together in a collective, positive, uplifting energy that is most needed in our changing times. The energy created in a yoga class is truly inspiring and invigorating.

I am new to the North Island and most recently taught at Ocean Mountain Yoga in Campbell River. I am excited to build a community of practice on the North Island and look forward to meeting you on the mat.
